Agree on the order workflow
Set out how orders are submitted, how stock is confirmed, when payment is due, what happens if an item is unavailable and how tracking is returned. Do not assume a store integration is available until it has been confirmed.
Separate handling time from transit time
Supplier production, domestic delivery, preparation and international transit are separate stages. Ask which stages are included in any estimate and whether it is in working or calendar days.
Prepare for exceptions
Agree on address changes, cancellation cutoffs, failed delivery, damaged goods, missing parcels and evidence needed for a claim. A tracking number alone does not establish a refund policy.
